I wanted to become an engineer, because I wanted to help people who suffered from pain or a disease. I wanted to work, where my research could be used to help design medical devices for patients who need surgical interventions.

I liked figuring out things- putting things together (like flat packed furniture) and I also liked fixing things that weren’t working correctly. I was really interested in materials and why they are all so different. Eventually I realised that if I studied engineering, I would have a career filled with problem solving and coming up with solutions!
