• Question: why didn't the Eiffel tower not rot

      That’s a very good question.

      The Eiffel tower is made out of iron. When iron gets wet it starts to rust and rot like you were saying. So to prevent this, they have to paint it with many many layers of special paint. This stops the water touching the iron and so it doesn’t rust.
